Emily manages a herd of naturally colored angora goats. Until recently, angora goats were bred only for white mohair. Breeders interested in naturally colored fiber began saving what would otherwise be culls from commercial flocks, then selectively breeding for improved mohair quality.
Emily's herd descends from several of the leading colored angora breeders in the western US, and has been selected for dark, high quality fiber. A limited number of kids are available each spring.
